Some ongoing and recent projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong pairing of electrons in nanoclusters with shell structure<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">See news story: <a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/news\/2015-02-world-superconductors.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Warming up the world of superconductors&#8221;<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Ionization of nanoparticles and its temperature dependence<\/li>\n<li>Cluster evaporation<\/li>\n<li>Electron-cluster collisions and capture<\/li>\n<li>Giant optical resonances due to collective electron oscillations<\/li>\n<li>Electric polarizabilities<\/li>\n<li>Long-range polarization forces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Cluster beam apparatus<\/h2>\n<p>A beam of cluster particles is generated and flies through a series of vacuum chambers. While in flight, the clusters are subjected to various probes.
