PAs serve as peer educators and coordinate nearly all of the day-to-day operations of JEP&#8217;s service-learning programs.\u00a0 PA responsibilities vary depending on the needs of the department&#8217;s faculty and students.\u00a0 Depending on student enrollment, a PA may work exclusively with one professor or class, or may assist several faculty from multiple departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n                          \n  \n                          <\/div>\n                      <div class=\"swiper-slide\">\n              <h3 class=\"pane-title\">\n                ReadersPLUS Student Staff\n              <\/h3>\n                                  \n<div class=\"f--field f--description\">\n\n    \n  <p>Each semester, up to 100 USC Readers and Math Mentors work in five of the Family of Schools. On site coordination is provided by five site coordinators and their assistants. The program is overseen by two full-time graduate student program directors and five part-time undergraduate student coordinators.<\/p>\n<p>USC ReadersPlus student site coordinators and assistant coordinators attend the JEP\/USC ReadersPlus summer training held in August. Coordinators and assistants collaborate their efforts in management and problem solving to create a year-long plan for the USC ReadersPlus program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n                          \n  \n                          <\/div>\n                      <div class=\"swiper-slide\">\n              <h3 class=\"pane-title\">\n                STEM Education Student Staff\n              <\/h3>\n                                  \n<div class=\"f--field f--description\">\n\n    \n  <p>The Teaching Assistants are each placed at one of seven elementary schools in our immediate USC community to teach hands-on science lessons to 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0through 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0grade classrooms and support teachers and students in science education. Lead TAs train and supervise their peers, organize teaching materials and coordinate efforts on site.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n                          \n  \n                          <\/div>\n                      <div class=\"swiper-slide\">\n              <h3 class=\"pane-title\">\n                Graduate Students\n              <\/h3>\n                                  \n<div class=\"f--field f--description\">\n\n    \n  <p>Graduate assistants work with JEP staff and faculty to design new program elements, develop projects for courses and plan curricula for the service-learning students or their respective programs. Some of them also provide training and support for undergraduate JEP program assistants who supervise and evaluate the work of JEP service-learning students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n
