The Scroll is an online journal founded by the University of Southern California’s Phi Alpha Theta chapter in 2019 in order to promote undergraduate research in History at USC. There are two editions each year, one in the Fall and the other in the Spring.
In the first few weeks of each semester, students submit their papers for consideration, and after their work is reviewed and revised, accepted students’ papers are published online on this website. Publication in a research journal is a great learning opportunity for applicants, and a fantastic resumé builder! Few undergraduates can say that they are published authors!
Out of all of the accepted papers, 5 students are selected to present at The Scroll Unrolled research conference, which gives students valuable experience presenting their original research!
