Dornsife\u2019s interdisciplinary approach and aim \u201cto improve and enrich society\u201d are especially close to my heart.\u00a0 Previously, I had the privilege of fundraising for our awesome doctors and research at the Keck School of Medicine and the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. I have worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 15 years including at RAND Corporation and a private foundation. I am a native Los Angeleno and hail from a family with three generations of Trojan graduates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Favorite USC Initiative<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I love Dean Amber Miller\u2019s signature initiative\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/giving\/aps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Academy in the Public Square<\/a>. Rethinking the role of a university and how our academic research can best serve communities and the world is inspiring to me. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/giving\/px\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Public Exchange<\/a>\u00a0program, a component of the initiative, follows through on the vision by directly connecting our world-leading scholars with civic, business and nonprofit partners. I see a bright tomorrow, knowing these diverse perspectives are coming together to find innovative solutions to the complex problems we are all facing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why USC?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>USC is one of the top research universities in the world and excellence is at its core. It is a privilege to connect donors with its outstanding research, programs and centers, while creating life-changing opportunities for students through scholarships. With its innovative agenda and dynamic network, USC has positioned itself as leader in improving people\u2019s lives for many decades to come.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Favorite Spot on Campus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One day, I stumbled upon the <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.usc.edu\/locations\/hoose-philosophy-library\/hoose-philosophy-library-history\">USC Hoose Library of Philosophy<\/a>.
