text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\">The GE office added seats to selected courses during the continuing student registration period as well as orientation registration sessions.\u00a0 Students interested in enrolling in a course that is not a GESM should contact the department offering the course.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\">Between now and Sunday, August 30<sup>th<\/sup>, GE Seminars do not require department authorization (d-clearance). \u00a0Students are able to register for a GESM section using Web Registration, as long as there is a seat available. <em>*<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\">During the second and third weeks of the semester (August 31<sup>st<\/sup> to September 11<sup>th<\/sup>), all GESM sections will require d-clearance.\u00a0 Students seeking to register for a GESM will need to submit their request using a form that will be posted on this page starting on Monday, August 31<sup>st<\/sup>.\u00a0 This form will only be available until Friday, September 4<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\">Upon receipt of a d-clearance request, the GE office will verify the student\u2019s eligibility to take the course, seat availability and obtain the professor\u2019s permission to allow a student to add the course. \u00a0Students granted permission to register for a GESM will need to register for the course using Web Registration. \u00a0Requests to register in a closed section will be denied. \u00a0The GE office plans to respond to all inquiries within two business days. \u00a0Students should not drop their current GESM until they receive confirmation to register from the GE office.
