These projects occur within the context of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/spot\">San Pedro Ocean Time Series<\/a> (SPOT), an ongoing monthly collection of oceanographic data from the San Pedro Channel, off the coast of Los Angeles. This site is visited monthly by ship for sampling at five depths.<\/p>\n<p>From 2012-2014, quarterly sampling also took place at two other locations, one off the coast of Santa Catalina Island (CAT, 33\u00b027.17\u2019N, 118\u00b028.51\u2019W) and one within the Port of Los Angeles (POLA, 33\u00b042.75\u2019N, 118\u00b015.55\u2019W).
