H. Smith Best Travel Book Award (2004), E. M. Her work has appeared in various journals and anthologies, including\u00a0<i>The New Yorker, The New York Times,<\/i>\u00a0<i>The Paris Review, Transition,<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>The Massachusetts Review<\/i>. Boyle\n      <\/h2>\n\n\n<\/div>\n    \n              \n<div class=\"f--field f--description\">\n\n    \n  <p>Distinguished Professor Emeritus of English and Writer in Residence Emeritus <strong>T.C. Boyle<\/strong> is the prolific author of numerous novels and short story collections, including <em>Stories II<\/em>,\u00a0<em>San Miguel<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Tortilla Curtain<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>World\u2019s End.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Boyle, who received his M.F.A. from the Iowa Writers\u2019 Workshop and his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa, has won numerous awards and prizes, including the PEN\/Faulkner Award (for 1988\u2019s\u00a0<em>World\u2019s End<\/em>) and the National Magazine Award (in 2007 for his short story \u201cWild Child\u201d).
