USC Grad Student Cited in the New York Times
The USC Department of Economics congratulates third-year PhD student Joshua Levy, whose working paper “Access to Justice in the Age of AI: Evidence from U.S. Federal Courts,” co-authored with Anand Shah (MIT) was recently cited in the New York Times. May 25th, 2026 article “Artificial Intelligence Floods Court Dockets with Home-Brewed Lawsuits” addresses the self-represented litigants whose AI usage has begun to impact the justice system.
The paper has additionally been previously cited in The Financial Times.
