Biographical Sketch

Phillip Bloom is the Curator of the Chinese Garden and Director of the Center for East Asian Garden Studies at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens as well as a Scholar in Residence in the East Asian Studies Center at the University of Southern California. He specializes in the history of gardens, designed landscapes, and Buddhist art and ritual of China's Song dynasty.
