Alexia Rojas awarded 2023 MSA’s grant in Crystallography
Rojas receives grant from the Edward H. Kraus Crystallographic Research Fund
PhD student Alexia Rojas was awarded the 2023 Mineralogical Society of America‘s Grant in Crystallography from the Edward H. Kraus Crystallographic Research Fund. Only one grant is awarded annually.
Her proposal titled, “Where’s the Lead? Structural mechanisms and crystal imaging of Pb sequestration in clinoptilolite with application to active remediation strategies in East Los Angeles,” relates to research she is doing with Aaron Celestian and colleagues.
