Sivakami “Sivi” Ananthasingam is a social impact leader with nearly a decade of experience fusing business strategy with meaningful community impact. She currently serves as manager of corporate social responsibility at Prudential, where she\u2019s expanding access to retirement security and financial well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, Ananthasingam worked at the <\/span>Taproot Foundation<\/span><\/a>, which connects volunteers with nonprofits. She designed and scaled high\u2011impact pro-bono programs across the United States and globally, and planned the IGNITE Summit, a national conference convening nonprofit leaders, creatives, and change makers.<\/span><\/p>\n

At USC Dornsife, Ananthasingam studied <\/span>neuroscience<\/span><\/a> on a pre-med track and discovered an interest in how biology shapes human behavior. A favorite class, she says, was BISC 423 \u201cEpilepsy to Ecstasy: Biological Basis of Neurological Disorders\u201d taught by Professor of Biological Sciences<\/span> Michael Quick.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u201cThis class was on Fridays at 8 am during my senior year, but I would do it all over again if given the chance,\u201d she says.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Following graduation, she realized she could improve lives in ways that extend beyond clinical care, and earned an <\/span>M.S. in Social Entrepreneurship<\/span><\/a> at the USC Marshall School of Business. She encourages students to\u00a0 \u201cembrace opportunities to stretch beyond your comfort zone, whether by learning new skills or taking on projects outside your usual scope.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n <\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
