The shooting of nine at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina has affected the entire African Methodist Episcopal church. Here in Southern California, Rev. Mark Whitlock heard news of the shooting while leading a Bible study at his church, Christ Our Redeemer in Irvine.<\/p>\n

In addition to mourning the loss of his AME colleagues and calming the fears of his congregants, Mark made himself available to spread a message of resilience, justice and love in media interviews.<\/p>\n
