USC&#8217;s Ronald Tutor Center.<\/p>\n<p>The 2011 class of fellows gathered on the University Park campus on July 14-15 for the first phase of the three phase program. The economic and social problems facing communities of color are complex and deeply rooted in racism, apathetic governmental representation, and a lack of understanding of the civic engagement process by clergy and lay leaders.<\/p>\n<p>Passing the Mantle is open to pastors, lay leaders, and community development professionals.
