Managed retreat is the purposeful, coordinated movement of people and assets out of harm\u2019s way. They presented their extensive research and policy suggestions to our partner,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.org\/en-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nature Conservancy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Amaya Simpson, a sophomore majoring in Environmental Studies, said this about her research experience, &#8220;This internship provided important insight and the ability to connect legal and policy perspectives to attributes of environmental concerns.
