Cameron Trimble has extensive experience leading communications and digital engagement strategies across Fortune 500 companies, the White House, U.S. Congress, political campaigns, and the entertainment and healthcare industries. He is the Managing Partner at Hued Strategies, a minority-owned integrated communications firm based in Washington, D.C., and the founder of Hip-Politics, an organization mobilizing the political power of the Hip-Hop generation. He also hosts The Hip-Politics Podcast<\/em>, which bridges politics and hip-hop through influential guests.<\/p>\n

Cameron served as President Biden\u2019s White House Director of Digital Engagement, leveraging social media influencers, celebrities, and digital platforms to amplify White House messaging. His team\u2019s innovative efforts included the first White House press briefing with TikTok creators and high-profile collaborations with figures like Olivia Rodrigo, Ciara, and LL Cool J. He also spearheaded digital campaigns for milestones such as Juneteenth\u2019s federal recognition and COVID-19 vaccination outreach.<\/p>\n

During the 2020 campaign, Cameron led Biden for President\u2019s African American Paid Media strategy, overseeing a record $100 million outreach initiative that contributed to historic Black voter turnout. He also played a pivotal role in the fully virtual 2021 Presidential Inauguration, achieving the largest digital audience in history.<\/p>\n

Previously, Cameron was Executive Vice President at Precision Strategies, advising clients like the NFL, NBA, Gilead Sciences, and March for Our Lives. He also directed public affairs for the Smithsonian\u2019s National Museum of African American History and Culture and served as a senior aide in Congress.<\/p>\n

A Cleveland native and Howard University alumnus, Cameron co-founded Men of Color in Communications to advance diversity in the field. He continues to support his alma mater, hosting fundraising events and serving on the Board of Visitors for the Chadwick A. Study Group-\u00a0Digital Democracy: The Impact of Digital Platforms and Technology on Modern Politics<\/strong><\/p>\n

This study group explored how new digital platforms from social media to online news are changing the ways politics work. Students covered how politicians run campaigns online, how governments use digital strategy to connect with constituents, and how citizens use digital tools to make their voices heard. This innovative study group was led by Cameron Trimble, the former White House Director of Digital Engagement who ran high-profile digital campaigns with Olivia Rodrigo, Ciara, LL Cool J, and many other celebrities.<\/p>\n

Cameron Trimble said this about his experience at USC\u2019s Center for the Political Future: “Being a CPF Fellow was eye-opening. I got a real sense of where college students are with their political knowledge and how they feel about different policies and what’s going on in campaigns. Plus, the other Fellows were awesome \u2013 I learned so much from their talks and stories. Honestly, the energy and enthusiasm of the students made me feel super hopeful about the future leaders coming up! If I had to pick a favorite part, it would be the climate conference. Seeing CPF pull off such a big and impactful day, with so many students from all over campus and bringing back some big names and former Fellows, it was amazing to be a part of this and I look forward to staying engaged with the program.”<\/p>\n
