Study Group: “Life Skills in Political Journalism”

As technology disrupts what it means to be a human, journalism teaches the basic life skills that are increasingly hard to come by. AI is transforming how we communicate, think critically, and solve problems. Journalism teaches us how to think beyond ourselves, put ourselves in other people’s shoes, ask questions, and seek answers. Old school reporting translates to critical skills for the 21st century. Over the course of six weeks we will speak with current and former journalists who have worked across different mediums and platforms to understand how technology has transformed the field of journalism and how life as a journalist has shaped their lives personally and professionally.
