However, in recent years, business schools have been increasingly allowing applicants to choose between the GRE and GMAT and will accept either<\/li>\n<li>International students may be required to take the TOEFL Exam to prove English language competency. However, usually having a Bachelor&#8217;s degree from the U.S. (USC) will waive this requirement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Typical exams:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ets.org\/gre\/score-users\/about\/general-test\/content-structure.html#:~:text=The%20GRE%20General%20Test%20measures,the%20GRE%20General%20Test%20content.\">GRE<\/a>,\u00a0typically required for many Graduate school programs<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/gmat\">GMAT<\/a>, typically required for Business school<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/lsats\/\">LSAT<\/a>,\u00a0typically required for Law school<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/registering-for-the-exam\/\">CBEST &amp; CSET<\/a>,\u00a0typically required for Education programs<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/admissions-tests\/\">MCAT<\/a>,\u00a0typically required for Medical school<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ada.org\/education\/testing\/exams\/dental-admission-test-dat\/apply-for-the-dental-admission-test-dat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DAT<\/a>, typically required for Dental school<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/oat.ada.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OAT<\/a>, typically for Optometry school<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pearsonassessments.com\/graduate-admissions\/pcat\/about.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PCAT<\/a>, typically required for Pharmacy school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n      \n      \n    <\/div>\n  \n      <div class=\"cards-container\">\n      \n        <div class=\"card\">\n\n                            <a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/careerpathways\/graduate-record-exam-gre\/\" target=\"_blank\">\n            \n                                    <h3>GRE (Graduate Record Exam)<\/h3>\n                \n                                    <span class=\"card-description\">The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is one of the more popular exams for non-business or health related graduate programs.  <\/span>\n                \n                            <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n      \n        <div class=\"card\">\n\n                            <a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/careerpathways\/gmat\/\" target=\"_blank\">\n            \n                                    <h3>GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)<\/h3>\n                \n                                    <span class=\"card-description\">The GMAT is the test most MBA programs consider for admission.  The GMAT is administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).\r\n\r\nThe highest score for the GMAT is 800.<\/span>\n                \n                            <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n      \n        <div class=\"card\">\n\n                            <a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/careerpathways\/law-school-admissions-test-lsat\/\" >\n            \n                                    <h3>LSAT (Law School Admission Test)<\/h3>\n                \n                                    <span class=\"card-description\">The Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) is by far the most common test taken by candidates seeking admission into law schools. <\/span>\n                \n                            <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n      \n        <div class=\"card\">\n\n                            <a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/pre-health\/usc-dornsife-pre-health-test-prep-mcat-dat-gre-scholarship\/\" target=\"_blank\">\n            \n                                    <h3>Health-care related tests<\/h3>\n                \n                                    <span class=\"card-description\">The USC Pre-Health Advising departments handles all pre-health admission-related inquiries including testing.<\/span>\n                \n                            <\/a>\n                    <\/div>\n      \n        <div class=\"card\">\n\n                            <a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/careerpathways\/cbest-cset\/\" >\n            \n                                    <h3>CBEST &amp; CSET<\/h3>\n                \n                                    <span class=\"card-description\">The CBEST is used for admissions to teacher preparation programs, most commonly for multiple subject teaching (elementary school).
