\nCENTER FOR APPLIED MATHEMATICAL SCIENCE
\nGRADUATE STUDENT PRIZE FOR EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH
\nWITH A SUBSTANTIAL MATHEMATICAL COMPONENT
\nTHE $1000 PRIZE WILL BE AWARDED ANNUALLY\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

ELIGIBILTY: <\/strong>Any graduate student at USC who is expected to receive Ph.D. degree between May 2026 and August 2027 inclusive is eligible<\/p>\n

NOMINATION PROCEDURES: <\/strong>Nominations for the CAMS Prize should include a nominating letter from the students’s dissertation committee chair; the nominee’s C.V and a statement of 3 pages or less by the nominee describing his or her research in a way that is accessible to non-experts. Reprints, preprints and a further faculty letter of support are not required, but may be included in the supporting material.<\/p>\n

SELECTION COMMITTEE: <\/strong>The prize winner will be selected by the Board of Directors of the Center for Applied Mathematical Sciences.
