Glasscock Center for Humanities Research.<\/p>\n<p>Gruner was joined by USC Shoah Foundation Visual History Archive Curator Crispin Brooks for an in-depth\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.tamu.edu\/?calendar_id=37&amp;y=2016&amp;m=04&amp;d=04&amp;eventdatetime_id=28299&amp;\">presentation<\/a>\u00a0to students and faculty on how the Visual History Archive is built and indexed. Later, a panel of students spoke at the university&#8217;s Hillel for a discussion on &#8220;Testimony, Memory and the Holocaust.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The visit and discussion were\u00a0organized by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/cagr-news\/news\/2015\/07\/9718-texas-am-teaching-fellow-adam-r-seipp-conducts-research-usc-shoah-foundation\">Professor Adam R. Seipp<\/a>, USC Shoah Foundation\u2019s first-ever Texas A&amp;M Teaching Fellow. The A.I. and Manet Schepps Foundation provides funding for a teaching fellow and student intern at Texas A&amp;M each year. The first intern is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/cagr\/profiles\/toni-nickel\">Toni Nickel<\/a>, a junior double majoring in international studies and anthropology and minoring in history and German.<\/p>\n<p>Gruner will give the lecture on genocide resistance again on April 5 at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.utexas.edu\/cola\/historicalstudies\/events\/39400\">UT Austin<\/a>, sponsored by the\u00a0Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies, Center for European Studies, and Institute for Historical Studies in the History Department.<\/p>\n<p>The topic of defiance during the Holocaust is Gruner\u2019s area of expertise and a focus of his research in the Visual History Archive.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n  <\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":140,"featured_media":4648,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[13],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1176","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
