She received her BA in History at the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile\u00a0and her PhD in Sociology from the University of Essex, United Kingdom. She has written about the\u00a0experiences of repression among victims of the Chilean dictatorship (1973-1990)\u00a0based on survivor testimonies. In recent years, her principal research topic has been survival, migration and adaptation among Holocaust survivors migrating to Chile. This work is also based on the oral histories of survivors.\u00a0She is co-author, with Lorena Avila and Yael Siman, of \u201cNarratives of survival by Holocaust Victims\/Survivors in Chile, Colombia, and Mexico\u201d published in: Lessons and Legacies, vol. 14. This research is based on oral testimonies from two collections: the USC Shoah Foundation Visual History Archive and Voces de la Sho\u00e1, Colecci\u00f3n Memoria Viva.
