Her research focuses on Hungarian and Russian Jewish Studies. She is the author of five co-authored books, among them <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Rendszerv\u00e1lt\u00e1s<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Csal\u00e1dt\u00f6rt\u00e9netei<\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0[Family Stories of the Transition]\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">(2016) and<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0Political Justice in Budapest after WWII\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">(2015). Her work has been published in many books, journals and online publications, including annual Brussels Institute reports on xenophobia, racism and hate-crime.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:240,&quot;335559740&quot;:360}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Professor Barna is very familiar with the Visual History Archive, having used it in her own research and in professional development workshops at the Faculty of Social Sciences.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">During her time at the USC Shoah Foundation Center for Advanced Genocide Research, Barna consulted with Center and Institute staff to prepare to incorporate VHA testimonies into the curriculum of her course \u201cRacism, Antisemitism, and Hate Speech.\u201d She hopes that this course, which introduces students to the sociological and psycho-social background of prejudice, draws parallels between past and present-day manifestations of antisemitism, xenophobia and racism, will become a core component of the Ethnic and Minority Policy MA Program at her university.\u00a0<\/span><span
