He earned his Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. He is the author of <em>Revolution from the Right: Politics, Class and the Rise of Nazism in Saxony, 1919-1933<\/em> (Boston and Amsterdam, 1997) and co-editor of the volume (with Todd and HIllary Hope Herzog) <em>Rebirth of a Culture: Jewish Identity and Jewish Writing in Germany and Austria Today<\/em> (New York and Oxford, 2008), as well as numerous articles on German and German-Jewish history.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently working on a manuscript based on the oral testimonies of German-Jewish female survivors of slave labor and concentration camps in Estonia, 1942-45.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n      \n          <\/div>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n\n  <\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":943,"featured_media":0,"parent":4384,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-10986","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
