We are united around resolving the problem of diabetes with our focus on the pancreatic beta cell, the cell whose primary function is to store and release insulin.<\/p>\n<p>The Pancreatic Beta Cell Consortium are a team of artists, engineers, scientists and physicians who are bringing together an array of scientific data types and experimental methods for the construction of a dynamic, three-dimensional model of the pancreatic beta cell.
