Undergraduate Study Abroad

USC Human Biology majors are encouraged to study abroad during their undergraduate careers. The University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane, Australia and the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand offer our majors an opportunity to expand educational experiences in another country. UQ's Department of Human Movement Studies boasts a reputable curriculum that prepares its students to work as exercise scientists prescribing and managing exercise in health and fitness centers and hospitals, and acting as consultants to community, cardiac rehabilitation and corporate fitness programs. Otago’s Department of Physical Education is internationally known department of exercise sciences. It has one of the few operational environmental chambers in the world and offers outstanding opportunities.

*If a Human Biology student is interested in studying at UQ or Dunedin, is be best to travel and study during the spring semester of their junior or senior year. Prior academic planning is critical to ensure course equivalencies while abroad.
