Rachel Leah Klein was awarded the 2023 Gene Wise-Warren Susman Prize for the best paper presented by a graduate student at the ASA Annual Meeting for \u201cDouble Violence and Insurgent Kinship: Women\u2019s Prison Care Networks and Gendered Politics of Solidarity in California.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kathy Pulupa published an article, \u201cNos Vemos en la Cancha: Latinx Women Athletes Making Place in Los Angeles<\/a>\u201d in a special issue of American Quarterly<\/em> titled, The Body Issue: Sports and the Politics of Embodiment<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Neud\u2019s Saint-Cyr received the Emerging Scholar Award at the Haitian Studies Association Conference for her commitment to the field of Haitian Studies and her presentation at the conference titled: “Performing Diaspora: Examining the Sociopolitical Stakes of Performing Diaspora in the Haitian Compas Festival<\/em>.”<\/p>\n
