The OAH is delighted to welcome George Sanchez, professor of American Studies & Ethnicity and History at the University of Southern California, to his role as president of the OAH beginning on April 4, 2020. We give sincere thanks to Joanne Meyerowitz for her service in what proved to be a challenging year.<\/p>\n

Sanchez is dedicated to broadening the reach of the historical profession through scholarship, teaching, and mentorship of the next generation of scholars, and public history through museums, archives, and all the institutions that present the American past.<\/p>\n
