By combining archaeological survey work and excavations with visits to archaeological sites and museums, as well as the experience of living in a Yucatec Maya town, this course encourages students to engage with the complexities of issues relating to human-environment relationships, indigenous cultural heritage, and national economic development.<\/p>\n<p>Excavate the ruins of an\u00a0<strong>ancient Maya palace\u00a0<\/strong>complex.
