Students gain a comprehensive introduction to the field, including archaeological theory, excavation techniques, and artifact analysis, as well as the cultural, social, and historical contexts of past civilizations. An Archaeology &amp; Heritage Studies minor allows for a deeper understanding of the past and how it has shaped our world today, and can provide you with valuable skills and knowledge that can be applied to a wide range of careers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Archaeology &amp; Heritage Studies Minor requires 5 course (20 units).<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Lower-division requirements\u00a0 &#8212; 4 units (1 course):\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<hr style=\"height: 2px; border-width: 0; color: #ffcc00; background-color: #ffcc00;\" \/>\n<p>1 &#8212; ANTH 202g Archaeology: Our Human Past<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Upper-division requirements\u00a0 &#8212; 16 units (4 courses):<\/strong><\/h4>\n<hr style=\"height: 2px; border-width: 0; color: #ffcc00; background-color: #ffcc00;\" \/>\n<p>2 &#8212; Select one course from the Theories and Methods list of the <strong><a href=\"\/arch\/archaeology-degree-requirements\/\">Archaeology &amp; Heritage Studies Major<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(4 units).<\/p>\n<p>3 &#8212; Additionally, select any one upper-division course from those listed under\u00a0<strong><a href=\"\/arch\/archaeology-degree-requirements\/\">Archaeology &amp; Heritage Studies Major<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(4 units)<\/p>\n<p>4 &#8212; Take Ethics and Heritage course (4 units) from this list of available courses: <strong>REL 304<\/strong> Ethics and Global Heritage<\/p>\n<p>5 &#8212; Take Capstone Course (4 units): <strong>CLAS 465<\/strong> Archaeology and Society (cross-listed as <strong>ANTH 465<\/strong> or <strong>REL 465<\/strong> or <strong>ARCG 465<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Interested?
