Announcement for the Agilent Fellows Program<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Agilent Technologies, a global leader in life sciences, diagnostics, and applied chemical markets, and the USC Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience have partnered to establish the Agilent Center of Excellence in Biomolecular Characterization<\/a>, featuring world-class research instruments for advanced mass spectrometry, chromatography, robotic high-throughput reaction screening, genomics, and optical characterization.<\/p>\n

Program Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n

Agilent Fellows will be immersed in the cutting-edge research environment of the USC Michelson Center and affiliated faculty laboratories across the University Park Campus. Each Fellow will be paired with a primary USC faculty mentor and will also have a unique opportunity for career and professional development through mentoring by the Agilent Associate Vice President for University Relations and External Research<\/a>, who can facilitate connections with Agilent scientists.<\/p>\n

In addition to pursuing their independent research, Fellows will gain hands-on experience with the operation and basic maintenance of Agilent instruments housed at the USC COE<\/strong>, preparing them for leadership roles in both academic and industry settings.<\/p>\n

One Agilent Fellow will be selected each year for a non-renewable two-year postdoctoral fellowship. Strong preference will be given to recent or eminent Ph.D. graduates who are coming to or within their first year as a postdoctoral scholar at USC. Applicants should discuss the development of a proposal with their faculty mentor and secure their sponsorship before<\/u> applying. Award Details<\/strong><\/p>\n

One fellowship will be awarded each year for a two-year term. We expect a new round of selection each Fall. Agilent Fellows will receive annually a $81,000 stipend as well as university postdoctoral benefits<\/a>.<\/p>\n
