This system which is coupled with stopped-flow rapid mix accessory has multiple collection modes. Fluorescence, phosphorescence, chemi\/bio-luminescence, and time resolved phosphorescence measurements can all be easily made without changing a single hardware component. \u00a0It captures a datapoint every 12.5 ms and scans at 2400 nm\/min without pick shift which makes it perfect for high throughput and fast kinetics applications. Cary Eclipse prevents the valuable samples from biodegradation and prevents their integrity even after multiple measurements. The unique design of the Cary Eclipse ensures room light immunity allowing the instrument to operate with the front and top panels removed for easy access to sample and fast installation of large accessories. It allows kinetic measurement of reactions at least thousand-fold faster than those run by manual methods. It can generate reproducible data with only volume of 120 \u03bcL. The dead time of RX2000 is only 8 ms allowing first order reaction rates over 200s<sup>-1<\/sup>\u00a0to be measured. The syringes mounted on a rigid drive platform stop the flow precisely and instantaneously. Reagents travel in this inert sample circuit through an umbilical cord to the flow cell containing a high efficiency T-format mixer. The drive syringes can be readily substituted to allow mixing ratios from 1:1 to 1:10.
