The abstract should\u00a0be written for a non-specialist audience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reasons for wanting to be part of this Symposium<\/strong> One-half page (&lt; 500 words) description of the significance of your research and how future research and professional goals align with the symposium theme. Please indicate at the end if you would\u00a0like to be considered for need-based travel funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Polar related focus on Broader impacts<\/strong> One-half page essay describing a polar education\/outreach (NSF Criterion 2) activity the applicant has participated in and\/or one they would like to perform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Two references<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The references that\u00a0are\u00a0listed in your application will receive an e-mail request to upload a letter of recommendation on your behalf. Applicants will receive notification when both letters of references are received, completing the application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Questions? Comments?
