Thuy Huynh

Thuy Huynh is the Internship Associate for the Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics, where she manages relations with political organizations and agencies in the Los Angeles, Sacramento and Washington D.C. area in order to provide USC students with valuable internship opportunities. In addition to her internship responsibilities, she plans and manages programs ranging from large scale conferences to student discussion panels on current political topics.  


Prior to joining the Unruh Institute, Thuy participated in the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs, a prestigious post-graduate experiential leadership training program in Southern California. She completed a series of field assignments ranging from non-profits, government and business sectors including the California Attorney General's Office, Van Tran for U.S. Congress campaign, Autry National Center, International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Sugerman Communications Group, and Eastern Group Communications. She was a strategic communications consultant for the San Gabriel Valley Basin Water Quality Authority, Main San Gabriel Basin Watermaster, Three Valleys Municipal District, and Upper Valley Municipal District. 

 

Thuy received her B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. At her time at UCLA, she served on the Chancellor's Student Fee Advisory Committee, led the campaign for a $1 million student referendum (PLEDGE) and student government slate Students First!, assisted in the institutionalization of the Student Risk Education Committee and served as President of the Vietnamese Student Union.
