The Joint Educational Project at USC utilizes undergraduate students as extensions of program staff to leverage resources, sustain program growth, and maximize success and impact. The large number of students placed at partner schools, non-profit organizations, and health service agencies each year allow for much-needed program support during these trying economic times.
Through three interactive mini-workshops, this session will introduce training and support tools for preparing and guiding undergrads in their roles as student leaders, and will share specific strategies used to assess program impact and success. Concrete examples of management tools and training techniques will be provided for replication of the ‘peer educator’ model.
