Future Leaders in government, business, and law need to understand how global developments affect their lives and work. The International Relations major provides the conceptual tools you will need to thrive in the fast-changing world of tomorrow. It is an ideal major for those interested in entering the public policy realm or the business world. It is an excellent stepping stone toward graduate programs in foreign affairs, law, public administration, public policy, urban planning, political science and business

Major: International Relations Global Business

The Global Business major is a joint program consisting of courses offered by the School of International Relations in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and the Marshall School of Business.  Students successfully completing the program receive a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with an emphasis in Global Business.

Major: International Relations Global Economy

The IR/GE major provides strong training in the fundamentals of economic analysis and helps students develop the ability to apply these tools in the context of a global economy in which economic behavior is profoundly shaped by international and domestic politics. This is a rigorous major that prepares students for careers as analysts in the public and private sectors and for graduate study in the social sciences and related fields. Students get technical (statistical & mathematical) skills, a solid grounding in economic theory, an understanding of how political institutions shape economic processes, and applied engagement to international issues.

Minor: International Relations

The International Relations minor compliments any major; introducing the conceptual tools you will need to thrive in the fast-changing world of tomorrow and providing an understanding of how global developments affects your lives and work.

Minor: Global Communications

The Global Communication minor is a joint program consisting of courses offered by the School of International Relations in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences and the Annenberg School of Communication. The rise of global firms and international changes that followed the end of the cold war raise new opportunities and challenges.

Minor: International Policy and Management

The minor in International Policy and Management brings together courses from the School of International Relations in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences and the School of Policy, Planning, and Development.  This minor is ideal for those who picture themselves running multinational corporations, negotiating with foreign governments, or those interested in the policy and management issues that affect different regions of the world.
