Satellite Ceremony 2 / Group 2

The Group 2 Satellite Ceremony takes place on Howard Jones Field.  The ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m. with the procession of graduates.

Graduate Information

  • A rehearsal, on Wednesday, May 15 at 12:30pm, will be held on Howard Jones Field. Students planning to participate in the Satellite Ceremony are strongly encouraged to attend. An email with the rehearsal date and time will be sent to graduating students in April.

  • On May 17th immediately after the main ceremony has concluded, proceed directly to Howard Jones Field.

  • Graduate line-up will be located behind the stage. Undergraduates will line up by major; PhD graduates and Masters graduates will line-up separately.

  • Before getting into line, completely fill out a namecard found on tables in the line-up area. Keep this card with you until a staff person collects it.

  • Click here for the graduate stage procession diagram.

  • Once all graduates have processed and are seated, the satellite ceremony will begin.  A Dean's Office representative will preside over the ceremony. Each graduate will proceed to the stage by major to have their name announced and receive their diploma cover.

  • Three professional pictures will be taken, one before you receive your diploma cover, one while receiving your diploma cover and one with your diploma cover.

  • After you receive your diploma all graduates must return to their seats until the conclusion of the ceremony.
