Our Pre-Health advisors work with students, both one-on-one and in a group setting, to explore their options in the many areas of the health professions (e.g., medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, etc.). Pre-health advisors help students determine the most advantageous academic and extracurricular opportunities to prepare for their chosen health profession. They also advise students as they consider general education courses, majors, minors and the optimal use of electives. They help students determine the most appropriate career paths based on individual strengths, values, and personal goals.

Pre-health students are guided through the admission process in their chosen field, including how to write an effective personal statement; how to gain clinical, community service, or research experience; how and when to request appropriate letters of recommendation; and lastly, how to complete the application.
