I dont think any of these places have any problems with nitrogen; they are all just different. When I went on the cruise out of Chile to the eastern tropical south pacific the levels were much lower and that is due to the fact that I was out in the middle of the ocean. Very far from land so there is less nutrients and life. There is a ton of nutrients coming out of the river so it is a completely different environment. I just put up a new post that can help explain so of this better.

I rad your intro and I was facinated! It really helped me to better understand what you are working o nand why it is so important. I’d be interested to know out of the three research trips which area had the most problems with nitrogen levels? Chile? Barbados? or where you currently are? I hope you post a lot of photos!
