Biography

Michelle Saucedo is Project Assistant at the Program for Environmental and Regional Equity at USC. She holds a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Latino Studies from the University of Notre Dame. Before coming to PERE, she enriched her academic career following the topic of immigration, leading and participating in various seminars related to the topic through Notre Dame’s Center for Social Concerns. She also worked as an undergraduate research assistant for the department of Sociology and Religion. As a recent graduate and new staff member at PERE, Michelle brings with her legal and non-profit experience, having interned for an immigration attorney in South Bend, Indiana and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) in Los Angeles. She is excited to be part of the PERE team and take part in ground-breaking research for many of the relevant topics of today.
