Dornsife's Office for Diversity and Strategic Initiatives is dedicated to approaching student learning and student life holistically. Therefore we have parternered with various student programs' in effort to create a more diverse and dynamic campus community.
Neighborhood Academic Initiative is a rigorous, six-year pre-college enrichment program designed to prepare low-income neighborhood students for admission to USC. Our office organizes various luncheons connecting NAI students to Posse Scholars and Dornsife academic advisors.
Norman Topping Student Aid Fund assists students with high financial need who demonstrate an extraordinary level of community awareness in their pursuit of higher education at the University of Southern California. The Dornsife Office of Diversity and Strategic Initiatives participates in Topping scholar retreat and collaborates with Topping in the Japan summer Immersion program aimed at first-generation undergraduates.
Posse Scholars Program is one of the most comprehensive and renowned college access and youth leadership development programs in the United States. Vice Dean Sanchez is currently serving as the first Posse cohort mentor.
The Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in the Sciences (SACNAS) is focused on increasing the number of Chicanos, Native Americans and other underrepresented students pursuing graduate degrees in the sciences.
