Welcome Incoming Faculty

USC Dornsife welcomed 19 new faculty members for the 2013-14 academic year. Hailing from universities around the world, this year’s group of scholars are some of the best and brightest in the nation, bringing with them years of experience and research in a wide range of disciplines.

The new faculty members join departments including biological sciences, chemistry, economics, English, French and Italian, physics and astronomy, political science, philosophy, psychology, religion and sociology.

Their research interests range from 19th and 20th century Italian literature to computational, behavioral and neuroimaging techniques. The group includes a world-renowned economist; an Operation Desert Storm veteran who focuses her research on the impact of military-to-military exchange programs on civil-military relations; an expert on Buddhism-state relations in China; and a pair of psychologists who will found the USC Mind and Society Center in USC Dornsife.
