Literary Journal

Originally published in 1982 as the student-run publication of USC’s Master of Professional Writing program, the Southern California Review relaunched in 2015 as an annual independent literary journal. Determined to continue the multi-genre spirit and community of the MPW program as it enters its final year, the Southern California Review accepts fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, short dramatic forms for stage & screen, comics, interviews, and art & photography. Each issue has a theme from which writers and artists can draw inspiration and publishes traditional and experimental work from emerging and established writers in multiple genres and forms.
