Overview

The MHB degree prepares students for careers in the areas of business, government, and non-profit.

Flexibility

The MHB is a “generalist” degree that provides a breadth of applied knowledge rather than detailed course work associated with a two year business degree (e.g. MBA; Masters of HR; Masters of Marketing; Masters in I/O).  You can shape your own education by selecting from a wide range of MHB courses.

1 Year to Complete Your Master’s Degree

The MHB Program offers a Master of Science degree that is earned by completing 34 units of study. Most students enroll in the accelerated, full-time option, so the degree is completed in one year. Some students earn the degree over two to three years and take fewer classes each semester. Classes are scheduled in the late afternoon or evening to accommodate the schedules of working professionals and students participating in internships.

Employment Opportunities

The MHB degree prepares students for a wide range of careers. It is therefore not surprising that in the last three years our graduates have found employment in these diverse fields:

Students

The MHB degree is designed for students who have received their undergraduate degree in the social sciences, e.g., psychology, sociology, economics, anthropology, and political science. Individuals who majored in other disciplines may be admitted if there is sufficient evidence that their alternative training or work experience has provided expertise in the psychological principles of human behavior.
