Welcome to the official webpage for the Second Language Acquisition (SLA) lab in the Linguistics Department at USC! Our goal is to determine what kinds of grammars are acquired by second language learners. We investigate SLA of particular aspects of the grammar, paying attention to such factors as L1-transfer, learners’ age, and universal features/processes.
