This is a collaboration with Penny Trickett, USC School of Social Work, to collect measured genes and study how they interact with serious childhood abuse and neglect to influence the development of psychological and substance use problems.

Real-Time Assessment of Alcohol Use Across ALDH2 Genotypes
This is a collaboration with Susan Luczak, USC Department of Psychology, to use real-time assessment proecdures to study how variation in the ALDH2 gene among youg adults influences their alcohol consumption within drinking episodes.

Effects of Moderate Drinking on Mortality and Cardiovascular Disease

This is a collaboration with Nancy Pedersen, Karolinska Institutet, & Margaret Gatz, USC Department of Psychology, to study the putative cardioprotective effects of moderate alcohol consumption, adjusting for family background and lifestyle variables.
