GEOL 412 Oceans, Environment & Climate - Spring 2009, Spring 2011, offered every other year, next offering Spring 2013.
This is an upper division undergraduate course but it is also relevant for graduate students in the Earth Sciences and other disciplines seeking to obtain a fundamental primer on the climate system for graduate studies.
GEOL 575 Organic Geochemistry - Spring 2010, Spring 2012, every other year, next offering Spring 2014. This is an advanced course on the fundamentals and frontiers of organic geochemistry. Topics include biomarker and isotope geochemical approaches to reconstructing past marine, terrestrial environmental change. Mostly for graduate students in the Earth Sciences, it may also be relevant for graduate students from MEB or Chemistry.
GEOL 601 Seminar in Sedimentary Geology - Spring 2009
Varied topics. Topic in Spring 2009 was carbon isotopes in
alkenones and use for carbon dioxide reconstructions in the geological past.
