Matt Tiahlo

Matt moved to LA and joined the lab in 2010 following 3 years as a sea-going tech with

the Bermuda Atlantic Time-series Study (BATS). He graduated in 2005 with a Masters in Oceanography

from the National Oceanography Centre at the University of Southampton (UK), focusing on trace metal

chemistry in contaminated sediments and heavy metal bioaccumulation in artificial reefs.

Matt is involved in all the lab's research projects including cruise participation and sample/data analysis,

as well as day-to-day operation of the lab.
