Parker Center
150 N. Los Angeles Street

This city police central administrative center, completed in 1955, was named for the Chief of Police of the Dragnet era, William H. Parker. A sculpture by Bernard Rosenthal, "The Family Group," is located at the Los Angeles Street entrance. The Parker Center was a flashpoint of the city's 1992 civil unrest. The Parker Center is set to be replaced in 2010 with a new LAPD headquarters directly south of City Hall.
