Keisha Brown

East Asian Languages and Cultures

Keisha was born and raised in Atlanta and attended the University of Notre Dame, where she picked up a 2007 bachelor’s in American studies and Chinese. At Notre Dame her research centered around African-American consciousness within China, and the issues of ethnicity in China and its effects within society. Although she is still interested in issues of ethnicity in China, her research interests have expanded to include the Asia-African diaspora in the “premodern” era.
