Joshua grew up in South Bend, Indiana. He received his B.A. in Philosophy and French from Asbury University, and his M.A. in Philosophy from Virginia Tech. His research interests lie primarily in metaethics and moral theory, and he is currently interested in the nature of authority and its relation to normativity. He is also interested in issues at the intersection of the philosophy of law, mental health, and moral responsibility, as well as the philosophy of language.
