Jiye Kim
Psychology
Jiye received her B.A. in psychology from Scripps College in 2004. She currently works with Irving Biederman, Harold Dornsife Chair in Neurosciences in USC College, at the Image Understanding Lab. She is interested in learning how our brain interprets and utilizes the vast amount of information in our visual world. Her previous and ongoing research includes comparison of shape representation in ancient cave art with current-day drawing, individual differences in sensory preferences, and fMRI studies of naming and visual perception. Jiye has co-authored articles in Perception and presented at the Annual Meeting of Objects, Perception, Attention, and Memory and the Psychonomic Society’s annual meeting.
